Are You Earthquake Ready?

I was in Northern California earlier this week when a 3.4 earthquake shook the Bay Area. Although damage from this "little" quake was minor, the timing was significant as it occurred on the 105th anniversary of the great 1906 earthquake that claimed thousands of lives and left San Francisco nearly in ruins.

As Californians, many of us have experienced the earth move on some occassion, and a few of us here in LA have war stories from the 1994 Northridge quake. Yet, many of us would be completely unprepared if another great earthquake or other natural disaster were to strike today.  It's time we got our act together.

For a list of 10 must-have items for a basic emergency kit, just click on this link to my website. There, you’ll also find several useful links with information on what else you can do to prepare in the event of an earthquake or other disaster.

We may not be able to predict the next earthquake, but we can take steps to be prepared.  If you find this useful, please feel free to share it with your friends and family.
